Solar Photovoltaic

For those countries which are beginning to get engaged in solar energy, IES is well accepted as a company which is able to provide neutral, manufacturer independent information and consultancy. Even political, legal and administrative information can be provided by IES, because it actively participated in all the discussions concerning these areas in France and Canada during the last years.

IES experts are actively participating in various working groups concerned with the optimisation and further development of solar systems or their components, such as the CANSIA (Canadian Solar Industry Association) or EPIA (European Photovoltaic Industry Association), which aims at analysing existing problems and developing proposals for pre-competitive research in the field of PV.

Complementing the solar farm design services, IES also offers technical due diligence, which is a thorough analysis of the complete solar farm project including all planning, financing, building permit and contract documents in order to minimise the project risk for investors, developers and owners.

During a due diligence process all the project-specific risks will be identified and quantified by IES. Any further measurements or optimisations resulting from this independent analysis will reduce the uncertainties and so improve the chances of success of the solar farm project.
